About El Viejo Jardín
El Viejo Jardín (the old garden) sits just off the Mojácar Playa front — easy to miss, but worth finding.
Run by two women with over 15 years of combined hospitality experience, alongside an Asian-trained chef, it’s a place shaped by a shared love of food, travel and doing things properly — without making a fuss about it.
Our menu takes inspiration from across Asia — Japanese, Thai, Malaysian — but isn’t tied to any one cuisine. It’s simply food we love to cook and eat, made with fresh ingredients and a focus on flavour.
Where we can, we source locally. Where we can’t, we choose carefully.
Behind the building, the garden is the heart of it all — a relaxed, sun-filled space designed for long lunches, easy evenings and catching up with friends. In cooler months, heaters and blankets keep things just as comfortable.
We keep space for walk-ins, but for lunch and dinner we always recommend booking.
